Now I'm sure these need no introduction, but there are a few different types and things you should be aware of when signing up to a Pay site.

The first of course is the price. I've seen the pricing of spanking pay sites range anywhere from $9.99 a month to $29.99 a month. Read everything carefully! Some websites may list a very low price but this might be for a 3 day or week trial period, and then after that you are automatically billed at a higher rate every month. Also some of the pricing may be for monthly, biweekly, or in some cases for 3 months plans. Usually it seems that if you sign up for a longer period, you will get a better deal overall.

Recurring or Non Recurring

What does this mean?
A recurring membership means your credit card will be automatically billed every month, until you tell them to stop by cancelling.
A non recurring membership means you will just be charged once to access the site for a certain time period and that's it.

Which should you choose?
Its up to you! If only wish to stay at a site for a short period of time, or you only have a certain amount you can afford, choose non recurring.
If you have heard good things about the site and money is not really a concern, choose recurring.

Certain sites will only offer recurring memberships while others offer both. Generally, you seem to get a better price if you choose the recurring membership. For example you may see something like this:

How do I cancel?

All pay sites should make it very easy for you to cancel, but it is always good to follow these few simple steps:

1. When signing up, the website or billing company will send you a confirmation email. Keep this! Save it to your hard drive or some place where you will be able to find it later.
2. Follow the instructions to cancel by the website or billing company exactly.
3. Don't wait until the last day to cancel! Many people do this thinking if they cancel sooner their membership will end that second. It will not. If you are paying for the month, you will get to access the site for a month. Always allow at least 7 days for a cancel request to be processed. Some places will say 3 days, but I've been burned by following their advice and found out later I was billed for another month. Allow 7 days, or 5 days minimum.
